Explain, in detail, how globalization promotes migration from the Global South (developing world) to the Global North (developed world). How can conditions in developing countries be created/facilitated? Why would the developed world/Global North be interested in maintaining the current system of global capitalism – and global migration? Pay particular attention to the complexities of globalization and migration in the Global South – how can you have economic growth at the same time as deepening poverty? How has migration from the Global South become profitable and corporatized?
