A position paper is different from an opinion paper. In a position paper you must do three things:
1.Clearly state your position on the topic. This can be a few short sentences or a lengthier half page or more.
2.You must support your position. This can take the form of cited materials (books) that have brought you to your position, or it can be things that have occurred in your life. If you use books and other materials that need citations you need to provide a reference page. The reference page does not count as a part of the page requirement. For this paper (your position) it does not matter your source, just that you clearly tell me what those influences were. For example, if you use scripture, tell me about your church and how they see that scripture. If you use events from your life, describe and discuss those events and how they influenced your views. Go as deep into your experiences/influences as you can to make your points.
3.No less than 4 typed pages. Feel free to write more if you want. This is a minimum, not a maximum. You must use either MLA or APA style in your work. One-inch margins all around, double-spaced lines
