Some of the important issues to consider are as follows: Social pressure; culture and family
values; the availability of extended family support; financial consideration / daycare, insurance
and time off from work. These areas could have a tremendous emotional impact on individuals.
As a practitioner, it is important to be aware of these issues when attempting to deliver services
as well as developing a good understanding of the concepts, which could be used in a personal
environment.
