You provided sound reasons to support your choice of the
most significant characteristic in the organizational life cycle. Many of us
are employed in organizations that have been in existence for some time and
have not experienced the steps in its creation. However, we have been part of
the growth stages and hopefully, will not continue to its termination stage J.
The examples you shared showed how those managers in the top tier should be
cognizant as to which stage their organization is currently at, and if
necessary, able to execute relevant solutions to any type of crisis faced. To
be productive and effective, organizations must actively seek out new solutions
to prepare for the next stage of growth. Managers should realize that past
actions are factors of future consequences and need to be included in the
learning process.
